The Community Advisory Group (CAG) is a collection of community representatives and serves as the focal point for the exchange of information between government entities and the local community. The CAG is made up of representatives of diverse community interests, local government officials, community representatives, property owners and residents, and stakeholders with technical expertise. The CAG assists the Department in making better decisions on transportation related projects that benefit the community and environment. The CAG members are selected based upon who they represent with the goal being an even distribution from each interest area.
The first CAG meeting was held on January 27, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Stone City U.F.W. Post, located at 124 Stone City Drive, Joliet IL. The presentation and meeting documents presented at the meeting are available in the Documents section.
A second Community Advisory Group (CAG) was held on May 3, 2017 from 10am-12pm at the Stone City V.F.W. 2199 (124 Stone City Drive, Joliet, IL 60436). The intent of the meeting was to provide a project update; a review of the issues discussed at the first CAG meeting in January 2016 and potential transportation solutions. A workshop with the CAG members presented the opportunity to provide feedback to the Department. A third Community Advisory Group (CAG) was held virtually on October 11, 2023 from 10am-12pm. The intent of the meeting was to provide a project update; a review of the issues discussed at the second CAG meeting in May 2017; and an overview of the proposed improvements.
